My 12 life principles for creating an extraordinary life, the life that you deserve

No matter how old you may be, the time to pursue your goals and dreams is right now. Let me share with you my personal list of life principles. Apply these in your daily life and I assure you that you will move closer towards your goals.

  1. Be an original. You are unique! Believe in yourself. Immediately resolve to accept 100 percent responsibility for who you are and who you ever will be. Don’t make excuses, make progress.
  2. You become what you constantly think about. Change your thoughts and you change your world. Take charge of your thinking. Become more aware of your thoughts. Are they positive? Ask yourself whether they serve you and, more importantly, do they help and serve others? Choose to think uplifting thoughts instead of discouraging ones. Your current thoughts are creating your future life. What you think about or focus on the most will appear as your life.
  3. Think big! Most people don’t dream big enough, think big enough, achieve big enough, and strive high enough.
  4. Always be proactive. Take the initiative and be responsible.
  5. Success and happiness is the progressive realisation of a worthy ideal or goal. Set worthy goals and take constant action on achieving these goals.
  6. Think win-win. Always seek mutual benefit.
  7. You can get whatever you want, if you help enough people get whatever they want. Never forget this.
  8. Develop an attitude of gratitude. When you're grateful for what you currently have in your life, it focuses you on the best, and you attract more of the best. So when you have a lack of gratitude in your life, you're probably focusing on the worst. A state of gratefulness acts as an antidote to negative feelings. Try this, it is a powerful tool.
  9. There is no passion to be found in playing small, in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living. Powerful words from Nelson Mandela, the planet's most revered citizen.
  10. Commit to never-ending learning. Find models of excellence. Find the best, and do what they do. Become a dedicated student of success. Read a book every week.
  11. Always be proactive about your health and fitness. It is hard to maintain a positive mindset if you neglect your health. Great mental energy and health comes from a commitment to a healthier lifestyle. You feel more positive when you feel healthier. Remember that you are only one meal away from committing to a healthier lifestyle.
  12. I think that it is important not to take yourself too seriously. Life is a joyous, magical experience, and laughter is an essential element to happiness and fulfilment. Be playful and have FUN!
